In 2011 the global coffee company Starbucks sought to modernize its image by creating a more simplified version of its logo. This update inspired a new fresh series of cup designs based on the year's seasons.
Each design was thought to evoke the mood of the season it represents. Furthermore, behind this visual concept was a retail strategy to market coffee as an all-year drink.
